Let's help a good friend

If you visit EQ Harbor's website you'll see a blurb explaining the tough time boat dealers are having and asking for service work to help them through the current slump. Many of you know Les and Kathy and you know they're great folks. The kind that would spend hours of their time trying to put you into the boat that's exactly right for YOU, regardless of profit margin. The kind that would let me store my boat there for free for a month or so while I wait for my new buyer to return to the USA. If anyone in Western Washington is even thinking about service or upgrades please consider having EQ do the work this Winter. You won't be disappointed. Same goes for Wefings and the other stand-up dealers out there who've made our boat ownership so much more enjoyable. Now they need our support. Thanks, Mike.

I took my boat, by water, more than 200 miles round trip just to have EQ work on it. On the way, I passed by virtually every other boat yard in Puget Sound. I was not disappointed. They are good people who know what they're doing.

when it comes time for work on the boat that I cant do Les is my only choice. I take the day off drop off the boat and go fish the beach while it gets done. Never catch anything but its a nice view from the best waiting room for a oil change I have ever seen.

My wife and I met Les last Spring to look at Rossi's. He knew we were not in a position to buy yet we spent hours with him talking boats and even the bus he's converting into an RV. First class act. I wish he didn't live 5 hours from me.

If you have a chance, visit his web site. It contains some excellent articles he's wrote.

I also encourage Brats to consider Les for work they need done. It is not the cheapest, but it is money very well spent. I had EQ do a large number of mods on my boat last winter (some are in my album) and this fall they installed my new winch and helped with a number of other issues that I wanted taken care of prior to leaving for FL. Les is pretty busy working on the Rosboroughs with Byrdman so their rigger, Stan Holmes, did all the work on my boat. I was very satisfied because Stan and Kathy took the time to listen to my needs and help me find solutions. Please send them your business -- they need it, and more importantly, we need to keep them around,

Mike, thank you . We appreciate that very much . This site is somewhere I would be whether I was a dealer or not . Its a great group of folks .

Les is the Star on the top of the C-Dory flagpole and will always be so, in my opinion, regardless of what they have done to him. He is a great man and a friend to all!

No argument from me on Les - EQ is top notch.

But to be clear - the "they" to which you refer, no longer exists, and has nothing to do with the current ownership of C-Dory.

Everything that transpired between EQ and C-Dory, was under the old guard.

Only five hours.... nice afternoon drive. Lining up for my next 4-5 day drive out.

Will be back out to Les' place in a couple of weeks for him and I to work on our next little project. Hope to see some of yall left side C-Brats then during a very brief stay.

Yep, enjoyed having Les in TN this summer. Great to spend some time in, on and around boats that has the passion that he and I share. He makes me feel normal.

We pulled into Apalachicola today and got to meet Marc from Wefings - first class kinda guy, just what a dealer should be. We are having some service work done on our trailer here. I think it's important that we support the dealers who sell and service our boats. They are the link that makes this all work.

Good on you, Mike, for bringing up this subject.

Best wishes,
Jim B.
