Let's Go Girls

Here I was so proud that I drove the boat off the trailor and then drove it to the dock alone ! :embarrased Sounds like you had a great time. I hope to be able to go off lone sometime on our boat. Maybe to the lake. I haven't driven the truck towing the boat yet. I need lots of practice. You have inspired me to do more ! Thanks for the great post ! Tracy :D

so the last time you weren't looking was......when i stole your truck in high school at marla's house because you boys were sleeping in to long and us girls wanted to go into town. boy don't you wish you had taught me how to drive a stick better. driving in second gear all the way to leslie's house. your tranny was hot. and you were walking. he he he

at least i knowhow to drive the boat, when i steal it again
love ya

Tom,

Depending on which girls(ladies) are participating, you might want to look. I can see it now - "Girls of the C-Brats" the calendar....

wow , i am sure there is a girl scout merit badge for Kiera for sailing!!! and julia of course is a veteran. i need to pick her brain

susan

Susan,

Way proud of you, and admire your courage and expertise. We were hoping to go across the Juan de Fuca Strait for the weekend but the weather reports kept us on the south side. :cry I checkout your photos and you do some really great shots. :thup As to driving the boat, I really try to get to drive sometimes other than docking and leaving the marina. I know my sweethart likes to drive and I enjoy her driving, I just hope I'm not helping too much :wink

It's 2:30 in the morning and I can't sleep because I am so troubled by this. Why is it that Roger and Timothy can skate through this thread unscathed in spite of their obviously sexist comments while a mere question from me gets a missile whistling past my head and a thinly veiled threat from the Ford lady to beat me up? It just ain't fair. Perhaps Tim should get a visit to that jail the original GGW video guy was in, and all the CB ladies should beat the crap out of RB the next time they see him on the dock. That would make a great highlight photo for the calendar.

Hey maybe now robbi can get her man to take the c-run out by himself??

Not much chance of that, but look for Robbi to be flying airplanes pretty soon.

Sexist? Saying that we want to look at all the fabulously beautiful women of the C-Brats? That's just a compliment.... To be fair, I'll also propose a "Boys of the C-Brats" calendar. Mike in a thong on the cover -   - that should be interesting. We'll get ya' married up again in no time Mike!

Ah, Grasshopper, if a man speaks and there isn't a woman around to hear him, is he still wrong? :wink

Years ago I photographed a couple for their 65th wedding anniversary. They were both spry, but he did most of the talking. When I asked them what was their secret to 65 years, the woman looked at him, turned to me and said, "Sometimes you just have to know when to keep your mouth shut."

I'm still working on that lesson.

Best wishes,
Jim

(BTW, I'd come out of retirement to shoot that calendar. 8) )

Boy, I missed that comment about Cordell taking out C-Run on his own.
Anytime he wants. About me flying the plane solo, I'd have to get me a licence :crook . I have a few hours right seat time, and a few hundred hours left seat. I think I could bring it down in one piece if I had to. But fly solo, I don't think so. Scares the crap out of me just thinking about it.

About Roger's comment, "depending on which girls" on a calendar, and then down the slippery slope even farther, with timflan's comment about Girls Gone Wild, it made me want to take up flying a fully armed A-10 and put the girlie talk to rest.

Maybe I will take up flying.

Robbi

Duster, Wow! Is that A-10 parked out next to the Audi? Thanks. And If I were going to solo up in the blue, that Sea Bee would be the perfect plane. (amphibian)
I even have a few hours left seat on the swing yoke. Robbi

I'm jealous that you all are up in the Puget Sound area. I would definitely bring my boat along on a girls only outing, driving through Seattle traffic with the boat in tow would be a problem for me though. I get nervous just riding along.

I love driving the Knotty C solo. (please, no comments about the name of my boat in relation to the other comments made on this thread!) I've done it several times here in the Columbia River. In fact, I do most of the docking because I'm more comfortable with that than jumping off the boat. It's always fun to see the good ol' boys at the dock when I drive the boat onto the trailer. They stand there with their mouths open and I can tell they can't believe what they are seeing.

Susan, your exeperience is why we carry both electronic and paper charts any time we are up there. That way if one doesn't work, we still know where the hazards are. Of course we have redundant, redundant systems, three GPS and paper charts. :-).

I would vote for a calendar with great pictures of scenery with a C-Dory BOAT in it.

I apologize unreservedly. I offer a complete and utter retraction. The imputation was totally without basis in fact, and was in no way fair comment, and was motivated purely by malice, and I deeply regret any distress that my comments may have caused you, or your family, and I hereby undertake not to repeat any such slander at any time in the future.

Dee, I hate Seattle traffic too, with or without pulling a trailer. But, Olympia is a great place to start a Puget Sound cruise. Vancouver is not that far from Olympia, come on up. Robbi
