I have a 2007 C-Dory 22 cruiser. The starboard trim tab actuator is bad (stripped gear) and I cant read the code to order a replacement. I contacted Lenco and he could not help me without a code. Does anyone know the replacement part number. Any help appreciated.

Brooze, the 101 is the most common of the Lenco actuators. On my '07 26', I had one fail last year and it too, was a 101. My homework took me to Amazon and they had several that were returned, but in "very good" condition. I took a chance and purchased one. It was New! I was so pleased with the price and condition of the actuator, I purchased another one to have on hand, when the other side failed.

Should I be happy that my tabs are hydraulic? It sounds like these are having a high rate of failure
The failure rate of Electric is higher than the hydaulic. However the maintenance of the hydraulic is higher, with checks on fluid level, electrical connections and checks for leaks should be done on a regular basis--as a pre voyage inspection. The electric only need you to check the electrical connections for corrosion.

The speed of the hydraulic is faster than the electric, and that may be important for some applications.
