We just closed the deal on a 2007 22 Cruiser that was listed on this site. Thank you ajudy for taking such good care of her. Some may know her as "C Sprite" formally from Wisconsin. She will have a new home in Des Moines, Washington and spend her time on Puget Sound. Really looking forward to getting out with her but needs bottom paint first, has never been in the salt yet.... now I have twins! Honda 40's

Frodo,
Congratulations! You and your family will love the pleasure that it will bring. You will also find the the C-Brats enjoy traveling together. It is the best no membership fee, boating group that I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of.

Congratulations Frodo on the purchase of your C-Dory 22 Cruiser. You have made a great and practical purchase and it will bring you much joy in the use of it for years to come. C-Dory boats are such great boats and when in the C-Dory family here at C-Brats you are in such great hands. Post future pictures of your travels on this site so that we may all share in your enjoyment.

Thank you so much, looking forward to meeting our fellow brats and exploring more of Puget Sound. I have noticed that the boat we just bought doesn't have a hawse pipe over the chain locker, is this normal for the C22?

Frodo, Welcome to the C-BRATS and congrats on the new to you CD. You are going to love making memories. Yup, Your no hawse pipe boat is normal. But it is also modifiable, as many have been both ways, some with some without.

Enjoy.

Welcome aboard. I have seen a number of C Dory's which did not have the deck pipe.

A hawsepipe is on larger vessels, and the pipe thru which the anchor chain goes on its way to the windlass thru the side of the hull, usually in the bow.. The deck pipe connects the deck to the anchor locker.

The word Hawsepipe is often misused--even in the ads.

congrats on your new boat, we sold our 16 ft and bought a 2008 22 cruiser in washington from master marine. still getting to know it like you are, we cruised a bit last summer around desolation sound and one trip to victoria via pender island.
still lots to get familar with...
