Again, petty funny! Why is it Molly often gets the best punch line?

It is a little hard to read the small printing, though that may be a function of the computer link, etc.

I agree with the small print, Joe. The boxes being pointed at say "winter clothes" and "Joan's shoes." In print, it's legible. I think Dan put some of that in for our benefit. The t-shirt the kid is buying has the name of the band I played for back in the 70s. :lol:

The fiction comes out in these strips - when Joan and I decided to sell the house and business up north, I went to a real estate broker right after the conversation (no going back!). And, we didn't do any yard sales... I didn't want people poking through my stuff, offering a quarter. We gave away a bunch, donated lots, and tossed what was left. Still, the premise here makes me chuckle.

Spend a little time around Molly, and you'll see that she always gets the most attention.

That T-Shirt was the only one I couldn't decipher with a magnifying glass!

OK, do tell, what was the band's name?

(Maybe the general audience could relate more to a popular dated period band that's no longer together.)

Hi Joe,

I am convinced that the only reason Joan dated me when we were young was to piss off her parents... I had long hair, played in a band, and rode a motorcycle - the trifecta of parental nightmares! :twisted:

If Dr. John has been around Kansas since the 60s, he might remember the band... it was called The Flippers. Yes, I have given some consideration to the fact that this may play a part in my fascination with dolphins. :wink We were a horn band that played kick-ass rock 'n roll. Think Chicago in the CTA days. I quit college first time around to go on the road full time. I was always smart enough to get in with really good musicians who could carry me. 8) I still play today... for an appreciative audience of one: the Blonde. Although, I did do a couple tunes for Brent and Dixie when they were here. I still carry a travel guitar on the boat most of the time... never know when I'll have to sing for my supper. :wink:

If any of you listened to KOMA, 50,000 watt radio station out of Oklahoma City, you heard ads for our band (and others booked by Mid-Continent Enterprises in the Red Dog Saloon in Lawrence, KS) back in the 60s and early 70s. Coming soon to a city near you...
