Wondering if it might be a funnier story line (long term) if you are the one who always wants to buy new toys and Joan is the practical one and Molly is the one who has seen it all already.
Or would that be hitting too close to home?
Warren
Right on... up to the point of Molly having seen it all already. She hadn't even been on a car ride (except for her annual trip to the vet, about 8 blocks away) until she started hanging out with us. Every time we introduce her to something new (especially modes of transportation), she gets a very puzzled look on her cute cat face. Then, she adapts. We have been going northward with the trailer for 5 days now, and she seems pretty comfortable.
And regarding the new toys... we are 3 to 1 on the boats (my choice to hers). Motorhoming was originally her idea many years ago, and I got onboard grudgingly at first. Joan knows what buttons to push to get me to think it was my idea. I am the "Hey, let's go to..." guy, and she is definitely the practical one who wants a mile by mile itinerary. I know Dan is taking some of our adventures in building the strip, and condensing, twisting, and embellishing. Between RVing and boating, we have decades of adventures to draw from; shouldn't be any lack of material.
The RV storyline surprised me... getting an RV while they "wait for their boat"??? How long does Dan think it takes these Sea Glory folks to deliver??? Oh, wait... maybe I shouldn't go there?
I don't know where he is taking this. These people sold their business and their house - they need to live somewhere. So, it seems that the real Jim and Joan plan a bit better than these fictional folks. Like you, I am waiting to see what's next.
Best wishes,
Jim (the real one)
