Warmest in the past twenty years, and #8 for the long term record, here in the Denver area. This is our first CO winter and so far it doesn't seem much different from NV, and we have the same amount of sunshine this winter as NV. Now watch, that will bring down the wrath of winter ... but we'll shortly be out of here for San Diego.
There sure is more going on in the Fairbanks area than just cold -- this morning they had a tsunami warning. Imagine the tsunami wave that would threaten Fairbanks!! Actually, every city in the state received a warning -- a glitch in the system, it turned out.
