We are going to be up in Desolation Sound and the Broughton Islands for 3 weeks starting this Thursday, July, 3. Do any of my fellow travelers know first hand if the sunny weather has set in yet? We will be spending the weekend in Princess Luisa Inlet and then heading north. We will be sure to say hello to any C-dorys we see, so monitor ch 16. We will be aboard the Shibumi, a DeFever 60, so stop by for a glass of wine, if you see us at anchor.
 
Aha, the Mothership! Any way you can get that baby to Lake Powell in September? :lol: :lol:

Fuel stops at Lake Powell are fifty miles apart. Maybe we can talk him into the Hawaii Cruise. How much fuel do you think we can get on her?
 
We are currently at Lagoon Cove (sort of first stop after running the inside route of the rapids) from Squirrel cove. Today at "happy Hour"--the temp was close to 80 degrees. We had 3 almost fully sunshine days at Princes Lousia Inlet with 70's to 80's and at Prudeaux Haven in the 70s==and swam in the lake water temp there was 72.......however there have been a lot of cold days. At 10:30 PM outside temp is 60 degrees. But I suspect that there will be more cold and rainy days....not all sunshine.

You get what you get....don't believe the weather forcast. Yestday Johnston Straits were predicted to be calm, this AM the prediction was 15 to 20. At noon today it was flat calm, but with ripples forming....Tomarrow, it may turn cold again. Just bring shorts, bathing suite and pray for warm weather. Give Frequent C a radio call--we will be in the Broughtons for the next week or so.

I am sailing up there during that period, should arrive around July 15 aboard the 30' FireFly a Pearson. Lots of water, but if we see you will give a shout. Pictures of FireFly are in my gallery.
