Angel passed over the Rainbow Bridge March 1, 2021 at 5 PM in the arms of Bob. and Marie. She was born in April 2006, She was rescued in September 2010 from the Pensacola Pound, and has been the sweetest dog we have ever owned. She loved the C Dory. She came to live with us less than a month before Bob's second cardiac bypass surgery. She has been at our side every day since. She was 98 years old according to our vet, in "Dog years"..

Perhaps the happiest we have seen Angel was at Lake Powell 2014, when she discovered "fishing". She would spend hours in the shallow water on her hind legs looking for and trying to catch minnows. She had attended over 20 C Brat gatherings, and enjoyed both the furry friends and people she met there.

Angel has been going down hill for over a year, when she became deaf and blind. There was some evidence that she may have had cancer of the pancreas. We brought Gigi to come to live with us in June of last year.

Gigi has grown to as tall as Angel, but lighter in weight and shorter in body length.
She said goodbye to Angel yesterday, and we can tell she is missing her today. But Gigi leaves for her first C Dory gathering at Hontoon in 2 days.
She has had a clip in anticipation of the warmer weather in Central Florida. (The photo below was taken in October, so Gigi is considerably larger--that is for a 12# dog!).

There is sadness in our hearts for the loss of Angel, but she was beginning to suffer. Rest In Peace, Angel. Gigi will not take her place, but will in her own right become a valued member of our boating family--and the C Brats!
