Images for C-Brat Collage for 2011 SBS - Need Your Help

Thanks for the replies here and the PMs. On the question of high res versus the reduced size images posted here, obviously the high res would be better but I think the reduced size images will be OK for the collage, let me see. I will try to post a first cut at it by Friday. The collage size is 3' x 4', and from what I have done so far, the typical image is about 5" x 7" - I have made satisfactory 5" x 7"s from 640 x 480 images in the past, so we'll see.

Harvey - I had already picked the Bellingham Line-up shot!

OK, I stayed up past my bedtime last night, and for better or worse, here it is.

I will take the Photoshop file to Kinko's and get it printed and mounted on foam core. The Freehand canvas was 3' x 4', and the Photoshop export file retains those dimensions.

I'm sure a lot of great photos got omitted, I just had to kind of go with what I liked! No pix of sightly past middle aged somewhat overweight people sitting on a dock gorging themselves on clams, mussels, fresh corn and wine (we know who we are!) and having a great time. I just tried to focus on the boats and the great places we go, a lot of the time together. Hope it works!

Fine selection and would most definitely still think so even if the photo of the Hunkydory and myself taken by Jo-Lee in our favorite anchorage anywhere, "Red Bluff Bay" Southeast Alaska, wasn't included. Feel extremely fortunate to be a part of your Collage to help those in need of future sales of these fabulous boats and in the process even direct more good folk to this friendly C-Brat community.

Pat: You are welcome to use any of mine too. (My wife and I took all of them; none are copyrighted.) I especially like a couple photos I took of our CD-22 on the Erie Canal. Wayne (from Burundi, Africa!)

Pat,

You did great. Nice selection, and variety. I almost expected to see a few more with some of those dock shots, you know, the ones of the Brats sitting around eating and enjoying a b....... (bit of a good time :wink

You're welcome to use any for the collage from my web site, or contact me for any events or places you'd like to have covered and I'll see if I have any photos.

"What about a digital picture frame with a rolling slide show in addition to the collage?

Tom,

I think that is an excellent idea, and should be at both C-Dory dealers, IMHO.

OK, Patty is taking the collage to Kinko's today to get printed and mounted. The next issue will be how it gets to the C-Brat table or wherever it is going to be displayed.

Yes, the electronic picture frame is a great idea. This is something that Triton should probably run with, it just involves putting a collection of photos on an SD card and sticking it in an inexpensive frame from Walmart or whatever. All the pictures are here...

Yikes! The printing is $95, they wanted $67 more for the foam core mounting, so we will do that ourselves. It should be ready by Wednesday, we will bring it with us to the hotel on Friday, and from there the first person going to the SBS should take it on in!
