I received a letter

Today, I received a letter from C-Brat Management warning me that I have been way too nice, far too helpful and to knock it off. Knock it off? I don’t get it. I have exceeded the forum’s expectations in handing out knowledge and am now in violation. I have owned a canoe, a john-boat, a lake boat and a couple of C-Dorys. I think I am very knowledgeable about all aspects of the boating life and have a lot to offer. I have always tried to be nice to other people and make sure they walk away with some education and a strong urge to be my new friend. I always read threads from the beginning and take caution not to just comment and duplicate what someone else has previously posted. It has worked out for years. I guess the industry and people are changing. I really do have an abundance of boating knowledge, along with an occasional funny story. I don’t know what to do, but C-Brat Management told me that I had till the end of the day today to respond to their request. I think I might ignore them for the day. Please help me decide what to do!

Well Roger, Not to surprising. We all know that Mark and Boll are wright on, and certainly way more than up to the task of keeping us in line. Your participation here is exemplary and you are leaving a way too stunning example. Your inspiration has often resulted in some really incredible accomplishments here on the sight. I would like to offer some consolation to you in your predicament, but I'm having a hard time making decisions right now, and I usually have to slip on it for a night to get it figured out. I will be back to morrow with my recommendation. For now, I'd say take a chill pill and take some time for consideration. The answer may come to you. Best thing might be to turn the calendar over another page.

For once....I DID NOT DO THIS ! but I would have had I thought of it...

I am sure it was a mistake....you and nice somehow do not go together..

if you respond as asked wouldn't that just prove that you are in fact nice and helpful? I'd say in the interest of turning over a new leaf wait a few days and tell them to bugger off :)

Roger, you do NOT have to take this! You could start your own C-Dory group, maybe call it C-NiceGuys? I think that has a good ring to it. When I first heard of C-Brats (after being on C-Dogs), I thought that it was, perhaps, a group of owners from Wisconsin... but then I guess it would be C-Brats&Cheese. And Beer.

On this auspicious day, I think it is important for nice guys to stand up and say... well, I don't know what nice guys would say... but... what was the question?

I have a bunch of letters like that.

What to do? I file them in my 'circular file',
raise my mainsail, and "dip and soar
in the breeze".

Life goes on.

Aye.
Grandpa used to say, "'Bout 1/2 of folks won't like you,
no matter what you do. Get used to it."

well, I think it is just common knowledge that a blue vessel is far superior, and to tow anything you need at least a diesel dually.

The real question on the floor is what to do about Roger's nice and helpful manner. perhaps an intervention or a "tough hate" boot camp would be in order

Speaking of dualies, B~C, I forgot to ask how you liked my tow rig? It's real handy, I can drag the boat and wash the topsides with it still hooked up.

For the record, I didn't send out any letters. Must've been the other guy. He is the literate one.

I did notice a rig with an exceptional amount of rust, that must be one of the perks of living by the coast.
sturgeon opener in may, may try to make it down, may pay attention to my rod

OH...That was a joke ? Heck I just thought we were being honest with Roger...I never liked the guy much anyhow...

Rogers only friend
