Well, today was not a good day...a really bad day. Lots of stress, things out of my control, ouch! What to do? I don't smoke, I like a good beverage but not to control stress.....what to do? Hmmmmm, I loaded up my Labrador in the van and......headed to the boat! Ah, the feel of the boat, the smell of the boat, the memories of the boat. Thank you boat! I feel so much better.

Sorry to hear about your rough day, Great isn't it getting aboard? We were out getting groceries and stuff and doing some shopping in Sedona, and a visit to a realtor to sign papers for my place in Nanaimo to list it, busy day ,kooky traffic .....getting back to the boat was home sweet home. Comfy little boat, George

Mental floss... just add water. Time on the boat is the best therapy going.

Sorry to hear about your crappy day, but glad that new boat was there to lift your spirits.

Best wishes,
Jim

Sorry to hear about the bad day. Life is ruff and then there is reality, the reality that you have a place to go, and know to do that, and a Lab to go with you, and a place to come (here), where we can empathize. I know it may seem like you are alone, but time in that little fiberglass cocoon, with the accompanying smells and the welcome good memories rolling over the senses, reality will return. You have friends here, and there is a place to go for peace and time to restructure.

And the Labrador still loves you. :dog

Enjoy,

There is a certain ease of the mind wheather out on the water or just sitting at the dock or as in most cases this time of the year just in the drive way. Spring , she is a coming !!!. Hope the weekend was better.

A month or so ago Rogerbum came up with an idea for improving the sales appeal of a used boat - grind on a piece of fibreglass to make it smell like new.

Maybe he could expand on that idea and turn it into an airfreshner or perhaps scented candles. We could set up a captains chair in a room, maybe even a big old wooden ships wheel, turn on one of those "sounds of the ocean" cd's, light the candles and dreeeaaam away!! :D :D

Who needs a therapist when you got a boat?

Robert H. Wilkinson asked:

"Who needs a therapist when you got a boat?"

Really good question. A boat is cheaper, better access and more durable, and you won't get in trouble if you give it a hug, a kiss or a special present.

Yup, life is good with the boat. We are very lucky because we keep the boat in the water only about five minutes from our house (I can even see part of the boat from the house). So, I'm down at the boat 6-7 times a week. An hour a day keeps the blues away!
