Hurricane Isaias

Our thoughts and prayers go to all of you who live on the East Coast of the US from Mid Florida all of the way North. We hope that there will be little or no impact from Hurricane Isaias. Even though this is not a strong storm, it is wide spread and can cause a lot of damage and flooding.

Be safe!

Watched the SpaceX Dragon detach from the International Space Station this afternoon. Splash down is in the Golf south of Pensacola. Their forecast for that side of Florida is for acceptable weather for a splashdown and water recovery.

The hurricane will be on the east side coast and from the last prediction from NASA/SpaceX is expecting (hoping) for no landfall going up the full length of the coast.

Stay safe and stay healthy.

Yes, the space craft will splash down just South of us. The weather is nearly perfect--clear light breeze currently. I am not sure if we could see the landing, but we may try.

Here is a link to a live video of the return. It is a live feed currently.

It is live radio communication now with video from space center. Separation of trunk will occur next. Then de orbit burn. Landing anticipated at 2:48 PM EDT (11:48 AM PDT), The "Go Navigator" is heading to station about 3 NM from actually splash down sight.

The hurricane has downgraded to a tropical storm, It can still cause a lot of damage.

From the weather report I heard tonight, Lots of rain expected up the east coast. Either be sure the plug is out of the boat and the bow is tilted up, ....
be sure the plug is in the boat is available to get into if the water gets high enough. Yu'all sta safe.

That was a Cool Splashdown and recovery.
