MY WIFE AND I WILL BE ON THE WATER FOR A WEEK STARTING IN AUGUST, CAN SOMEONE GIVE US THE PRO'S AND CON'S OF BOATING LAKE POWELL. MY WIFE'S ONLY CONCERN, BE IT THE SAN JUANS, THE GULF ISLANDS, MEXICO SEA OF CORTEZ, SAN DIEGO OR CATALINA IS WHERE CAN I GET A SHOWER WHEN I NEED ONE. IS THAT POSSIBLE AT THE DIFFERENT MARINAS @ LAKE POWELL. ANY HELP FROM A FELLOW C-BRAT WOULD BE HELPFUL.

I agree with Bill--we never even needed solar--usually the lake water is warm enough--just jump in and wash off! If you want it hot, buy a sun shower. We never have stayed at a marina there. The lake is far too pretty to not pull up to the bank! Generally one does not anchor out either. We usually put the stern on the beach--with one bow anchor to keep the boat off the beach--and two stern hooks to keep the stern approximately were we want it.
