hotel booking app

Travelocity is one. But I usually find just going directly to the hotels website, then linking to the actual hotel I want to use sometimes gets the best price.

I think Expedia is the easiest app to use for comparing and picking out the motel, but I don't book through them often. I find the one that looks best then call them directly. If the price is higher I ask if booking through Expedia is a better option for price and they usually match it within a buck or two. If not, then I use Expedia from their parking lot to book or find another.

I use booking.com for most of my travel. On my recent trip to Europe, I booked all of my rooms for a month with them. Easy to book, easy to monitor bookings and easy to change or cancel bookings.

We usually stay in La Quinta because of their dog policy, and book thru their app. If I see a lower price, they will equal or beat that. Plus we usually get one free night on a cross country trip.

I had a bad experience with one of the "expedia" type of apps (don't remember which one), but had booked rooms for a friend whose care broke down, and could not get a refund even though the room was 48 hours ahead, whereas the rooms I had booked with La Quinta, there was no problem. Apparently these booking services get some deals on blocks of rooms, and for some reason they will not give a refund.--may have just been my bad experience....
