honda generator question

I am planning to purchase Honda eu2000i inverter generator Atlanta and want to be sure about its battery backup system, before buying it. Would you like to share your experiences of using this inverter or generator, here in this discussion of this forum?

Francisco, I don't believe the Honda has a battery as it is a pull-start design. They can be had for $ 949 at wise sales!

I have this generator and am very happy with hit. However, there is no battery in it, so I'm not sure what you mean by battery backup system. It does have an accessory plug you can purchase that provides a 12v source. If you are looking for something simply to provide battery charging or 12v, you can find much cheaper options. The 2000 is a bit heavier than the 1000. I have taken it with me a few times on boating vacations for access to 110vts, but also use it around the house to remotely power some tools. Colby

I have owned two of the 2000 and two of the 1000 Generators. Both are good. Both put out about 8 amps at 12 volts--not much use for battery charging.

I run two 30 amp, 12 volt chargers on my EU 1000 with no problem, when charging two Group 31 AGM batteries.
