Yes, the "official" front page link on the C-Brats to your site has been removed, Greg. It was a decision agreed to by both Mike and me.
As anyone can see when visiting your site (link here), you've chosen to become the de-facto Cape Cruiser site, and are promoting them heavily. I'm far from faulting you, Greg - I think it's great that somebody took up the task, and I'm sure you and Larry will do a fine job helping Cape Cruiser owners build an online place they can call home.
However, at the risk of sounding like a broken record, the C-Brats is a C-Dory and C-Dory owners site. Folks that disagree with that philosophy can either accept it while participating at the C-Brats, participate elsewhere, or start their own site with whatever focus they like. And this isn't some heavy-handed mandate by two controlling "Poobs"...as has been stated numerous times by our membership, publicly and privately, that's how the vast majority of the C-Brats want the site to be. Just as importantly, that's how Mike and I like it, and it's what provides the incentive for us to put in the effort it takes to keep this place going.
As such, we don't provide front page links to Arima, Boston Whaler, Parker, or any other site where the primary focus of discussion/content is not C-Dory. Cape Cruiser is no exception. We're not a Cape Cruiser site. We don't promote the boat. We never will. Sorry if that sounds blunt or harsh, but stating it nicely doesn't seem to be sinking in with folks who insist on trying to change our focus here.
As is the case with any member at our site, you are more than welcome to link to your site using the WWW button in your C-Brat profile, or via links in your posts. Additionally, as Cape Cruiser questions pop up down the road, we have no problem with you or anyone else directing potential or existing Cape Cruiser owners to your site. In fact, I'll be making a practice of it - I'd rather the discussion take place over at your place, so we can maintain focus on the boats and people this site was created for - C-Dory and C-Dory owners.
