Sorry to hear that Bob. We are also coming up on same decision(s) with two elderly dogs. No matter how many times, it's something you have to do but never get used to doing it.

Tuberider, our sympathy goes out to you. I know what you mean. Marie is up in Corinth, attending to some of the issues with her mother's estate, and I am alone. I keep looking for the dog, and when I get up in the morning, haven't yet, gotten to the point where my clock doesn't say--"feed the dog".

You are to complimented for taking in the grandchildren. They can be a joy, but also a frustration when you are doing it a second time around. Marie's mother did that with Marie's sister's children, and I know what a sacrifice--even with the joy--they can be. Send a couple out if you need "Respite".

To those who have both written here and in PM--thank you for the kind and sympathetic words.

Sorry for your loss. Know your are in my prayers and thoughts...particuarly with myself and Sherryl tossing around when we should put down one of our cats of many years.

2/16/2000 Old Buddy, a border collie, was named after the first dog President Clinton's because he was inapporate at times.

Buddy would dig out of this pen and early one morning he did not respond to the walk around the place, he was shot through the admanon and the vet eased his pain.
