C Dory Year
2007
C Dory Model
25 Cruiser
Vessel Name
Stillwater
I've been a member/lurker here for a few years while I entertained the idea of owning C-Dory. I've cruised around the Salish Sea these past many years on a variety of crafts; an Arima, a home-built wooden Scow, and a few self-propelled rowing craft. I finally pulled the trigger on that 1982 22 foot cruiser that was for sale out of Delta BC. Many, many thanks to the previous owners who took such good care of it. It's exactly what I've been looking for. A simple, functional, economical, comfortable, shallow drafted, sea-worthy vessel. Nothing fancy.

Thanks also to the members of this site. Because of you and your posts, I was able to make a confident and informed decision with regards to my purchase.

See you on the water!

Welcome Aboard John! You made a great choice. I see that you have an album, and need to put some photos of the boat in it as soon as you have time...

A great area to boat in, and hopefully you will attend some of the gatherings and meet the great C Brat Family which lives in this area!

Can I get an Album please?
How do I request one.

Congrats on your new boat!

I also have an 1982 classic in Blaine that I am slowly restoring (while I am using it) It still has original 70 hp Johnson that just won't stop working! I am in the gulf islands with it right now.

Yours look's like its in wonderful condition. I hope to be there one day!

when everyone you boat past stares and points at you and taps their buddy and points for him to look, dont worry your its just your boat appeal ;)

seriously though, I've been shocked by how much attention these C-Dorys get, they're great boats.

Sweet! I really like the way the brow looks so saucy on the Classics that don't have the more "modern" roof bulge. Looks like you got a great one :thup

I hope you don't mind me posting this photo from your album in the thread here.

Great name too :D
