Hello to the C-Brats.. I am a newbie on this site. My wife and I have recently purchased a 1998 C-Dory 22 Cruiser. I am a retired electrician and farmer. I had a lot of experience with cruising and fishing when I was a young teenager and have not done a lot since. Huge learning curve for me which is excellent as I believe learning new tricks is a good thing for old dogs to learn. I have a obtained my radio operators license and joined the Canadian Power Squadron. I have been learning first hand about the problems with ethanol, Diesel heaters, old fibreglass, compass mounting, and the list goes on. I have spent quite a bit of time looking at various articles you as a group have posted and I am looking forward to getting involved. I still don't know the site very well and have not discovered how you can reply to other peoples posts.. Hopefully I will learn that somehow or someone could explain that to me.
Till the next time
Cheers

The best boating web site is here.

Welcome to another Canadian C-Brat. You will love this site as much as you will love your C-Dory. Before I bought my boat I happened upon C-Dory's and thorough the posts on this site, I decided that this was the boat for us. No regrets. I found my boat for sale on this site and within 3 hours of the listing coming up it was mine. Before buying my C-Dory I never owned anything bigger than a canoe. Yes, a steep learning curve, but a great adventure. Enjoy the ride.

Hi! I live in comox and have a 2008 22 black trim. Suzuki 90 on the back. Regularly launch at comox or pacific playgrounds if heading to desolation sound. See you on the water!

Welcome, I'm from Courtenay and I live down in Victoria. Hope to see you on the water soon. We may be up in June for a day trip out of Comox or two. Congrats on the purchase.

WOW, we are getting a whole fleet of C-Dorys up on the Island. So Cool. I learned to boat (well, an 8ft plywood dingy) growing up on the island at Sidney. Knew all the boat names at most of the marinas there.

Congrats on the new to you CD. Enjoy making new great memories.
