“Height on Trailer” for a 19’ or 22’ Angler?

Does anyone know the actual “height on trailer” for their 19’ or 22' Angler? I’m talking as clean as possible, without any pole holders, spotlights, radar, antennas, or anchor lights. The C-dory website varies between 9’ 1” and 10’ 1”. Just looking for some real world numbers.

BigO, seems like a simple question but, and there are some big ones that cause variables.
> Different trailers have different heights from the keel to the road.
> Different tires on the same trailer can make a difference.
> Bunks will sit the boat different than rollers.
> The height of the bunks (or rollers) are adjustable so can make a difference
> The weight of the boat (light for day cruising or heavy for extended cruise will make a difference.
> Different trailer brands may have different heights.

The 19 and the 22's should be very close to the same height, keel to top, but if they were both put on the same trailer, the 19 might sit higher because it weighs less.

Hope that helps, and probably not much, but consider these factores when you look at the height responses you get.

Might be best to take the height, keel to top from the factory measurements, and the get the keel to ground measurement from the trailer manufacturer, and put those together.

My 22' Angler sitting on a Pacific double axle trailer with bunks and 14 inch tires is approximately 8 ' 10''. So say 9 feet to be safe.
That is to the roof fiberglass, nothing else.
As was said previously, lots of factors to consider and my measurement is for my setup.

I have a radar dome mounted directly to my roof. My CD-22 Cruiser then is 9'10" overall clearance height. I suspect without the radar dome, most C-Dory's this size on a bunk trailer are going to be right around 9' high. Colby
 
Just measured my 19 and it’s 8’ on the trailer to the top of the cabin. Single axle roadrunner trailer w/bunks. Have a look at my album at the boat in its shelter. I have 9’ of clearance below the trusses in the shelter and the boat easily fits with its canvas back on as well.

Ultimately, I would like to get my garage door header raised (professionally, not DIY), but just getting an idea of the go/no-go height I would need to fit a 19'/22' Angler. My garage ceiling height is 9' 3", with a standard double-wide door with 7’ clearance height. If they say it can only safely be raised up to 7' 6", that probably wouldn't work. But if they could raise it more, then that may work along with doing a few mods to lower the “height-on-trailer” every inch possible, and "limbo" it with the tongue as low as possible through the garage door.
 
This is a out of the box type of solution: but pulling the wheels off the axles and making a frame dolly, which would give 1" clearance off the ground, would give you more clearance. I measured my 14" 5 lug wheel on the Caracal trailer, it would give you about 12" drop. With the 15" 6 lug wheels on the C Dory 25 trailer, with 10" disc brakes, it would give you nine more inches.

There would be some work pulling the wheels (or even hubs), but if it is critical, there would be those few more inches.

Also substituting a steel beam for a wood header would give a bit more hight--not sure exactly what is involved with your situation.
 
i have a 22 Cruiser with the extra-headroom roof. Marine surveyor measured mine on the trailer at: Length 29’6” with motor up. 2’ less motor down. 8’6” wide, 8’8” tall.

If you change the garage doors to be swing doors, you'll have more vertical clearance. FWIW, my 22 needs 9' when on the trailer.
 
On my Pacific trailer, I lowered the bunks almost 4 inches. Made a big different in boat access, launching and trailering. That combined with even deflating your tires could give you 6-8 inches. Add the steel beam for the header, and you might have what you need.
