The last time I saw weather like that was in 1965. We pulled out of Hong Kong Harbor to ride out a typhoon and had water breaking over the flight deck. It was 60 feet from the waterline to flightdeck level. Down in the hanger bays (3) there were expansion joints that were around 24 inches wide and it was weird to watch those things bend and shift like they were really unhappy with each other. We had 4 X 24 ft diameter screws and ever time the bow hit a trough the screws would come out of the water and shake 66,000 tons like a dog shaking off water. We ran in it for almost 3 full days: the guys that had to get back on ship after drinking a bunch of their favorite beverage sure got sick!. I'll never do it again!!!!
Now that you've done it with the software, how about a ride like that in Wild-Blue?
Joe. :thup
NOTE: I think that 100 ft fishing boat is what they call a positive displacement boat. Which means that it doesn't just sort of displace water, it positively displaces it, and rides therein, not upon it, like a C-Dory does. This means it usually rides more quietly in the water than a more bouyant boat, i.e., doesn't respond to small chop, waves, and swells.
