Is there a source for C-dory hats and jackets? I would like something with logo, boat by model and color with boat name and wearer's name. gosh do I want it all? YES! that is why I have a C-Dory, to me that is having it all..

thanks, johnd

cool logo..

in looking at your pictures, what is that great ball of fire picture?

That 25 looks really nice...I see you had some pictures of Rangers in there too. I have ranger tug hat, and that is about as far as my budget will take me on that, looked really close at Ranger tug 21 and decided it was not as well suited to the San Juans and myself as a C-dory 22 Cruiser would be. I sure do love the looks of them though..the ranger tugs, but I like the C-Dory as well and as I spend time polishing her up I like the lines and looks even better.

thanks, john d

I like these decal/ logo designs, they are fun and make me smile, as anything C-Dory does, but I am after a nice embroidered product that can be customized to each model, color boat as well as individual name. Seems like with computer embroidery machines someone would be set up?

Most big malls have some kind of an embroidery kiosk doing hats and shirts.
I've made simple image files and had jackets and lab coats personalized for our businesses before.

Once you had a master file you could easily change the colors. Changing the details would be more work. However, you have to have the correct software for the embroidery machine you are targeting. Because you have to convert the filled areas of the image to stitches, it is not as simple as just giving someone a jpg file and saying "print this on my jacket". There are also things like stitch density and span that must taken into consideration when planning a pattern.

Even if you have the artwork, it can cost a couple of hundred bucks to convert a complex image to a machine embroidery file. Apparently this charge is computed based on the number of stitches generated in the conversion.

I had a template made at Coastal Embroidery in Camarillo...so they have the logo... I had several jackets and shirts made...not expensive at all and now that they have the pattern the embroidery is really inexpensive.
maybe $5 or $6 additional...I buy the jackets and shirts from them and it is amazing the quality I get....good deal...

There have been times when we had hats done, and way back when we used to have vests and hats. Seems like this comes around every few years. Seems like there should be a regular source somewhere.

A few years ago a lady at the factory in WA put me in touch with the place where C-Dory had ball caps made. I no longer have that contact info, but somebody at C-Dory could probably still refer you to a source.
Also, there is usually somebody embroidering hats, shirts, etc at boat shows.

Good Idea, I live near where they make the boats, I will stop in and if they have some contact info I will share it here.

We used to get hats, vests and jackets from the factory to pass out at some of the boat in get togethers. The factory gave me boxes of hats and tees several years ago-- all gone now.

Someone on here tried to get set up to supply them at cost plus shipping-- but was shot down.

I've always thought labels on things, except for boat names,
were just sort of silly childlike indulgences, not too meaningful.

Aye.

Maybe that is why we are called "C Brats". ! Find your inner child--and you may live longer and happier.

I've been looking for some time and found that, when I'm not actually looking,
those are the best times of all.

It's been a long time ago, but there was a fellow in Canada that was making baseball caps with your model and color of C-Dory on the front.

On the back were crossed U.S. - Canadian flags and your boat name. I don't remember who it was, but maybe this will jog someone else's memory. :smiled

It's hell to get old a?
