Halcyon News

El and Bill

I have been on the road and missed the first entries here -
Hope you continue to recover - I enjoyed our pre Seattle boat show emails and meeting you both at CDory

As a Doc in an overloaded and sometimes broken health system, I would encourage you to ask lots of questions, track your medicines carefully, if things don't seem to fit together logically, ask more questions. make sure someone runs drug interactions on up to date software [send me an email to do that privately if you want and are on more than one medicine - I update my drug interaction software weekly] - be sure if you go back in the hospital even for tests you know what everything is they are giving you. None of us can remember all the details so be sure to remind folks about symptoms that have not been addressed. I love working in health care but the insurance nightmare is exhausting for patients and docs.

Remember its your engine and GPS and you have the right to question and understand. Wishing you a speedy recovery and both of you much love for your leadership in the CDory lifestyle.

Jim on Endurance.

Bill,

I've been following your story without comment (unusual for me for sure!) since I first heard of it a little over a week ago. Glad to hear you're doing well. I think I'll go check my blood pressure now - hope to make it as long as you two.

Best,
Roger

El and Bill

We just finished reading your latest composition "Safe Harbor" in Halcyon Days. You have and continue to be an inspiration to all but especially to the more adventurous among us. We have read and printed out to save most all that is contained in Halcyon Days, so if something happens to your web site its not lost for us in the future. Its a treasure of information in many different ways.

May your adventures continue along with your wonderfully described winter days in Colorado with books in hand and logs on the fire and family close at hand in your safe harbor.

Dear El and Bill,

We just read your latest saga, and wish you the very best in your recovery and future plans. A safe harbor is indeed a good thing when needed.

We have convinced our friends here in CT to purchase a C-Dory like ours, closing was yesterday. One of our secret weapons in this quest was your journal. After reading it, all they could do was shake their heads and say WOW.

WOW indeed to you and your life.

Best to you both!

Becky and Dun

El and Bill, I hope to be able to share some more canned Tuna and some Tuna Toasties again soon. Hang in there and keep us posted.
Where abouts in the Pac NW are you headed to this time?
looking forward to many more journal entries.
Congratulations on finding such a perfect home port. You are truly blessed.

Bill & El,
Just read and bookmarked "Safe Harbor", and like others have read most of Halcyon Days. "Safe Harbor" contains so much family love, and good advice, that I am copying it for our family. Have you ever considered publishing "Halcyon Days" besides the web site? Or, did I miss that?? I think it would be a NY Times best seller!

Best wishes to you in Colorado and continued safe/happy travels on Halcyon.

Anna Leigh,

"Safe Harbor" is the most recent chapter in El and Bill's teriffic website posting of "Halcyon Days",

I agree with the others that it, as all of Halcyon Days, is wonderful and uplifting reading. I also agree that Halcyon Days should be published in print in order to reach more people. I'll never get enough of it.

Bill and El,
Thank you for sharing "Safe Harbor" with us. It seems that medical surprises are the sharp corners in life that many don't consider. (Unfortunately, I've seen that occur to families way to often!)

Hope to see you in the PNW this summer :hot .

We are in Seattle, getting the 20,000 mile servicing of the Tundra. Heading back to Halcyon -- and hope to launch in the next few days. Cheers -- e&b

Great! With apologies to Cole Porter:

You're the top!
You're the Coliseum.
You're the top!
You're the Louvre Museum.
You're a melody from a symphony by Strauss
You're a Bendel bonnet,
A Shakespeare's sonnet,
You're Mickey Mouse.
You're the Nile,
You're the Tower of Pisa,
You're the smile on the Mona Lisa

and we're glad to see you back :D :D

And the saga continues... to the delight of folks everywhere. :thup We hope for the opportunity to meet up somewhere in the PNW next month. Glad to hear all is well.

Best wishes,
Jim & Joan B.

Welcome back on the water good friends.

I see the plumbing job worked, fuel flowing well.

Hope to see both of you East in the near future.
