Greetings Friends!

I have been honing in on my next boat purchase and am nearly certain it will be a 22 cruiser. After many months of pouring through the wealth of information on this site, I have finally registered and want to say hello and introduce myself.

After 15 lovely years in rural Northern California, I am excited to soon be moving back to the Puget Sound region where I was born and raised, likely locating to N Olympic Peninsula. I am a family man, an avid fisherman and outdoorsman and love generally messing around on boats.

I currently galavant and fish from foot, kayaks, a pond boat and a 16’ aluminum fish and ski style boat. I’m thinking a 22 cruiser will be just the right thing to get into the sound and the greater Salish Sea.

I have a few specific questions I will soon be posting. Until then, I want to say thanks to the membership for all the wonderful information and discussions on the site. I am excited to join such a fun and outgoing community.

Welcome! Congratulations on your interest in C-Dory boats and for finding this site. I can see that you have made it to second base and are ready to round 3rd base and cross home plate soon. We have identical backgrounds and I wish you the best in finding the right boat to bring you years of pleasure and adventure on the water. You will learn much about C-Dory boats with this site so stay tuned.

Welcome aboard. The PNW is certainly a premier cruising (any boating) area of the USA. You probably already figured out, that if you see what appears to be a good boat, jump on it right away. Some are selling within days or hours in some cases. Be prepared to travel to find one.

Like Bob says, you need to act quickly on a good boat. Put down a deposit and make the sale contingent after a marine survey is complete in a reasonable amount of time. The seller should not mind and may think more highly of you as a buyer.
