gelcoat or paint

Can anyone out there tell me if the accent color is gelcoat or paint and can the three cans of material that came with my used boat be used for touch up, if its gelcoat can it be used as is or does it need to be reduced, thanks for any advice, and remember Im one of the new kids on the block.
 
Your boat has gelcoat. The gelcoat touch-up that came with the boat is likely unusable, since it generally lasts for a few months, at most, in small containers. No idea if the factory sells small quantities of the color stuff, but you can check with them.
 
I went through the same thing a few months ago - trying to get a small quantify of green gelcoat. The factory told me that they can't legally ship it and gave me the number of their supplier. The smallest amount they would sell was a quart and forest green is considered a "custom color" that would cost about $140 per quart.

My friendly, local boat repair shop mixed up some green, did the repair and charged me less than $75.
