Garmin BlueChart® g2 Vision

I have been checking out Ebay lately for Garmin G2 Vision maps for the West coast. US037R

The G2 Vision maps you generally buy from Garmin run in the 300 dollar market. I was hoping to find a good used one that someone wants to sell. I can't help but notice one vendor on Ebay has the same maps for less than 150 dollars. I checked his many references and all good and many follow up reports suggest excellent quality and service.

My guess is these maps may be copies and not legal to sell in the USA. Thought I would put this out and see what other CB's have found and if this is something one should just move on with.

It is also possible that these are older versions of the Vision G2, not the most up to date version. Sometimes these hit the market at cheaper prices.

Check out eCrater for Garmin G2 vision charts. I just purchased an inside passage chart for $60, a large reduction from $329. I haven't received it yet (ordered it 3 days ago) and we are out of town but it seems like a legit deal after a little research. They don't have a large assortment but its worth a look.

I bought the G2 Vision card when I bought my 740S. A $300 gimmick that didn't live up to the hype and was worthless to me. West Marine gave me a refund.

I'm not sure if it's the same eBay seller, but I just purchased the West Coast g2 Vision SD for $130 or so if I remember correctly. The listing stated that it was the latest Garmin version in Garmin packaging. I should be receiving it on Monday and will report back.

I would guess its the same vendor. Looking forward to hearing what you found out.

I received the g2 Vision SD card in the mail from the eBay seller. It appears to be authentic as it was in sealed Garmin packaging. It also appears to be the most recent version as well.

If this is a scam of some sort, its very well done.

Thanks for the quick response. Glad to see this is on the up and up. I sent a couple emails to the vendor and he also indicated they were current and Garmin cards. Wasn't going to move on this until I heard from you. Thanks again.
