Hi, I just went to the Fred Hall fishing and boat show. Miles of cool stuff, and a lot of nice vessels. Looking at the various pilot house options left me curious... Why C -Dory does not attend. In price comparison and all I feel they would slay it!!!!!
I have alwaays liked the Parker, and still do. But I LOVE MY C-DORY.

Hate to say it, but over the years when C-Dory had dealers in SoCal, they quit handling the boat. The one they sell doesn't keep the dealer alive. It's not a SoCal boat, but a Northwest Boat. We had to go to the Seattle boat show to get ours.

There's so much sun in SoCal that I think the C-Dory is a great fit for SoCal, but no one else seems to agree. They want the open go-fast boat.

You do see a couple around Santa Cruz island and a few TomCats fishing off the coast.

C Dory has boats only at shows where there is an active dealer--and the dealer foots the bill for the show. The nearest C Dory dealer is in Portland Or.

It has only been in recent years that any center consoles have made an appearance in S. Calif.--and I do think that the C Dory is an excellent boat for the waters.

We did see two representatives of the factory at the Hontoon Gathering and 3 River's Marine had 3 new boats there (Tom Cat, C dory 22 and Venture 23--these boats plus and angler and a C Dory 25 were in well received in the Tampa FL Boat show last weekend.

We were told that the factory made about 25 new C Dory's last year.

Missed the FHS this year- been there many times-- love that show. Went to the one in Bakersfield couple years ago-- not the same.

Merry and I love our Tomcat. I wanted one for years and when Merry climbed into one at the Long Beach show she was sold. I haven't seen another one in SoCal but it's great to get out of the elements, whether hot and sunny or cold and windy. We've been out in rain, fog and heat and relished the pilot house every trip. Our next run will be #499. It really is the perfect boat for us.
