Floor plan 22’ cruiser

Has anyone built a seat behind the sink in a 22’ cruiser? I’d like to leave the sink in place, and lower the stove top surface to 24” and build a small bench seat. It would be nice to raise the seat are and be able to set a propane stove on it, when needed. Any ideas on how to do this? Any photos of a 22’ cruiser with a seat located behind the sink ?
With gratitude, Izzy

The 22 commuter had bench seats on both sides. My recollection is that one boat was converted with the sink left in place and the "starboard seat" either raised or had a insert for the stove. You could cook outside as many do. Nothing to prevent you from doing this. It might hurt the resale value?

What I have seen more often is to convert the port dinette into a settee. Our current boat has that as an option. There is a bolster for the back and special cushion for the table, plus a fold down step to make it easier to climb up to the 6' 2" settee.
