I've got two of them, one on each side. Mine don't have the gimble. They are a great addition to the boat whether you use them for fishing or not.

Trying to figure out from the catalog photo what the gimbal buys you. Is that what makes it possible to fold & rotate like the photo in the lower right?

the gimble is for the fishing rod while you fight the big one.

Ho-kay, I see it now. Had to download the installation instructions before that made any sense...wonder how useful the gimbal is?

Here's a picture of Moose's cockpit seats:

But Al? Your album also shows one of these as a "jump seat" for the helm - do you just have an extra set of mounts and move one of the seats into the cabin? How useful is the inside location? Without a footrest or backrest, I imagine it's not comfortable for long...

a little off topic, but can someone tell me where to get the floor covering in this picture? ChuckPacific had this as well and I'd like to add it to my boat.

Thanks!

That's either Dri-Dek or Deck Mate. They come in 1 foot squares, and have edge and corner moldings, and come in a variety of colors. They're made for locker room and poolside use, and are available lots of places, like West Marine, and most marine stores, as well as pool supply houses, etc. My spelling may be wrong on one or both of them, but you'll find them easily with a search engine.
