I'm pretty excited that the new 25 Cruiser came rolling into our Facility yesterday. Here at Waypoint Marine we are going to be featuring the first boat out of the NMI factory since the fire at the Seattle Boat Show january 23rd-Feb 1st. Make sure and come check it out and some of the new features they added this year.

Also go check it out on our Facebook page.

Your FB page says "This is not your dad's or grandpa's C-Dory" but neither the FB page nor your web page for the CD25 Cruiser says anything about what is different, new or improved in the 2015 model. How about some information about how the 2015 CD25 is "not your dad's or grandpa's" C-Dory. BTW, I am dad and grandpa (actually "Papa Pat"). Also, just a suggestion, but Waypoint might want to consider how they compare new C-Dorys to older C-Dorys. Most of us don't trade up for a newer boat every few years the way we do with cars! MOST of us have "dad's or grandpa's C-Dory" and likely will for a very long time! I think most of us feel that the classic timelessness of our C-Dorys is one of their greatest strengths!

at 90 to 100 k it is your dads or grandpas boat. That is the demographic for a new 25!

Pat, I do apologize, I believe you might have viewed that as maybe offensive. I assure you it was not meant to be portrayed as such. I think what the poster may have meant is its not the same C-Dory that they have been making for years. This model has upgraded to the Plastic leather interior( which i must say looks pretty sleek) and it has new LED cockpit lights as well as some LED blue lights on outside of port and starboard side that show very nicely. If you come and take a look at the 25 Cruiser at the show you might notice some other changes, but those are just to note a few.

I can't wait to see it Matt! I'm sure that will be the first thing we head to when we enter the boat show.

Looking forward to seeing the "pleather seats". I've noticed most of the big aluminum pilot house boats have gone to this kind of material, and I think it would be a huge upgrade in a c-dory.

Our boat has the light grey cloth seats that show everything. If I don't clean the seats with upholstery cleaner often, they look terrible. We might reupholster our seats with pleather one of these days, since buying a new boat is not gonna happen probably until I'm a grandpa! :smilep

Hey, Pat - you're starting to sound like a crotchity old retired guy! If the hull is coming out of the same molds, it DOES have the "classic style" we all like about the C-Dory. Oh, but the upgrades from your boat's era: a molded interior, non-cloth seats, better lighting, and who knows what else... if you were a marketing guy, you would be talking about "the good stuff it STILL has and the even BETTER stuff it now has." Oldsmobile made that "not your father's" bit famous. LOTS of other marketers have used it to let people know there are improvements. Of course, Oldsmobile isn't around any more.

Let's be excited there are new C-Dorys coming out of the factory! It doesn't diminish what you or any of the C-Brats currently have. What would you expect them to say about their new offering: "Hey, here's more of the same ol' thing!" just so they don't offend current owners??

It's a C-DORY!! It's brand spankin' NEW!! AND - and this is a biggie - it is going to be in the Seattle Boat Show!!! :thup :thup Quit yer bitchin' - it ain't a bad thing.

Oh, and get off my lawn ya damn kids!

Your pal,
Jim

Next thing you know, you'll be hitching up your RV and heading south with the other old guys to get away from the winter weather. :xnaughty What? Oh...

Matt - no offense taken here, I like my 2005 CD25 just fine. I truly am glad...relieved...whatever, that the line will go on. I hope you sell a ton of them!

Here is some stuff you might want to use, permission granted!

Two collages:

And a dandy little video slide show!

We were a better marketing department than C-Dory ever had!

In fact, it is the same challenge, different year. Here is what I wrote in 2011!

Jim - Have I not earned the right to be a crotchety old guy? :D And oh wait yes...can't wait to get to that Arizona SUNSHINE!

Matt,

Love to see pictures of the interior, they all kind of look the same on the outside. And that Explorer looks pretty neat, never seen one those, probably rather pricey.

Thanks for posting,

Jake
