Error in C-Dory factory brochure? What boat is it?

While at my local C-Dory dealer I picked up a copy of the 12 page C-Dory factory brochure.

I've been studying that brochure as I try to educate myself about the different C-Dory models, and have been using it as a reference guide when I call about C-Dory's for sale.

Today, after calling about a 22 Angler, I was examining the photo on the inside cover of the C-Dory brochure, which is labeled C-Dory 22' Angler.

And unless I'm mistaken, that photo is not an Angler. It has the extra rear cockpit window, which I don't think Anglers have.

But the boat doesn't appear to have a cockpit door or wall, which means it isn't a cruiser.

So what is it? Is it really a 22 Angler? A 22 Cruiser? Or something else.

See the photo on page 2 of the brochure at http://www.skagitorca.com/pdf/CDory.pdf

Bill, I'm unable to download the page you are referring to. However, without seeing it, I would confirm that it is indeed a 22' Angler. I don't believe many of the new model 22' Anglers have been manufactured, but your description of the pix sounds proper for the 22' Angler.

I don't know if you scanned the C-Brat site much before recently joining, but C-Dory has produced many different models that most newcomers are unaware of. For example, are you aware of a 14' C-Dory? Looks like a mini 16' C-Dory Angler only......2' shorter... :wink. (Not many in existence, but they are around). As you spend more time on the site, you will find other seemingly obscure models that C-Dory has built. (A multitude of history in these fine vessels!)

Oh, and by the way, welcome to C-Brats. :D

The photo is mislabled. Rick

Yep, I tend to agree about the mislabeling. I just spent a few moments in the archives doing a search and the newer 22' Anglers do not have that extra window on the side.

I think that is a 22 Sport. It had a cruiser cabin with no back wall. There is a picture in one of the SBS photos.

It is the 22 Sport-

It has the 22 Cruiser cabin with no aft bulkhead. The interiro is more like the Angler with helm and passanger seats and bench seats aft.

So the photo is mislabeled, although it's closer to the Angler than anything else....

Yes the photo of the 22 is of a cruiser without the bulkhead confirmed by Frank Walter of Fluid Marine a couple of months ago. I found another mistaken photo on page 5 of the brochure. The profile of the CD25 cruiser is actually a 26 Venture.

For the most part the brochure is nicely done.
