El & Bill, thank you for Halcyon Days!

What a wonderful resource linked here. 8 months ago, I signed on here as a lurker; still a sailor, but planning and plotting. I often re-read Halcyon Days - what an inspiration! We have our home up north and business/real estate for sale; we are able to spend 80-100 days onboard, but it just isn't enough... that working stuff really cuts into a guy's time on the water.

While much of the country has been blasted by the winter storms, we just got our first "taste" of winter in south Texas - not freezing, but cold/wet enough to keep me inside... a perfect opportunity to review Halcyon Days and dream about being at that inside helm, warm and protected.

My thanks to El & Bill and all the others here who have made this place so welcoming.

Happy Holidays,
James TX/SD

James --
Thanks for the kind words about Halcyon Days. We are a bit remiss in posting our fall cruising in the northeast -- our excuse is that we haven't had time -- after trailering Halcyon back west, we headed off to Central America for some archeology/geology exploration and have just returned and now heading to Vegas for a week -- El has put together a surprise birthday party for some dear friends.
Hope to meet up with you folks on the water and share a sundowner swapping tales. Merry Christmas -- El and Bill
