Cdory tomcat 2006 Homer, AK

Certainly looks like a very good buy for someone. I see an air conditioner on the roof--in Homer? Must have been a desert or Souther boat to start with. Also seems to have radar, I see a GPS antenna etc.

The only negitive is the 140 Suzuki. They will do the job, but are considerably less powerful than the 150's (and nor sure if they can use the big props which make the 150/175 such a great engine for the Tom Cat). Dislcaimer--I own the 150's on the Tom Cat and a single 140 on the Caracal--I compare the 140 closer to a 115 Yahama I owned previously. I would not turn the boat down because of the 140's.

Someone needs to grab this boat--assuming it is in good shape.

My suspician is that the 140's will probably not do much better than the 115's--and as long as the boat is light--is fine--even loaded you can still most likely at least get in the high 20's--but not the 40 plus that the 150's (if you want or need that)--the only plus, is that in higher chop, the faster we go, the better the ride: so we do run up our bay at 35 or a little more, and still are not maxing out the engines when we have a 3 foot chop.
