Tomorrow morning getting my 2004 cdory 22 angler delivered from Washington to my home in Georgetown California. Owned a few dorys but never a 22ft angler
Has 2018 40 yamahas efi. Radar, autopilot etc . Been an Arima guy for a few years but crossed over...again. Will post pics upon arrival. First thing I'm looking in to getting is a stereo and led light bars. Any suggestions?

congratulations! I know how it feels to get a Dory,Just got one myself.Looking forward to overnights in the Keys.I don't know about the neon or boom box, must be a California Thing.Best of luck and fair weather. Captn.

For music we used Sirus XM for many years on our boats. We used a Blue tooth receiver to a blue tooth receiver amp, and speakers.

I would avoid light bars. I put a temporary magnetic docking light (actually a 12 V tractor light which adheres to the anchor, and does not flare back on the deck.. I have also used small LED displays on each side of the roof forward--again as docking light. Same thing aft. I also put red LED's under the eyebrow and covering the cockpit for getting around at night and not loosing our dark accommodation.

I agree Bob-
I use USB rechargeable red bicycle lights in the pilothouse & cockpit when needed. Small, portable and efficient.
My JBL Charge 4 bluetooth speaker and a cellphone is plenty of noise for me.

I agree about avoiding lightbars. I've been blinded on too many pre-dawn fishing trips. And killing you night vision is a bad idea.

I'm surprised the coast guard even allows them??

Very cool! I’m right down the road in Kelsey. I would love to take a look at your 22 sometime. I hope to upgrade someday!
