Carpeting Bunks for Trailer Loading Guides

Pat,
I believe that the staple gun linked is compressed air driven. If you have a suitable compressor, then it is a very good choice. Although I have a 4 hp, 25 gallon compressor, the Arrow electric stapler works adequately for the carpet on boat bunks. I was able to find Arrow T50 staples in Monel metal, Also Stanley makes the staples in Monel metal. Sizes I have are: 5/16", 3/8" 1/2" and 9/ 16". The Monel metal will not corrode--I have found that most stainless steel staples will fair, especially if used in salt water.

Thanks, Bob. I have a DeWalt compressor, it has a 6 gallon tank and says 165 psi. I have only used it for inflating truck and trailer tires, and works great for that, even though I sometimes have to wait a bit as it cycles on to recharge the tank. At this point, I could get either an electric or pneumatic stapler. Recommendation? I might find other uses for a stapler but it will be only occasionally used. I have a couple of heavy duty manual staplers but I no longer have the hand strength to operate them.

Pat your compressor should handle the stapler with no problems. I also have one of the "Pancake" 6 gallon tank by Porter Cable. That is the one I move around the property.
