Searching on the C Dory forum is not all that easy. Another site not mentioned often is that of Georgs Kolesnikovs: Tom Cat Tales:
http://tomcat-tales.blogspot.com
This is certainly worth taking a look at.
Georgs started the Trawlers and Trawling, Great Loop, Power Cat and Passagemaking List servers. But Georges not only is a great writer and publisher--he and Steve Pettengill, sailed " Great American" the Trimaran to a record run from New York to San Francisco (via Cape Horn) in 1989. This is a 13,225 run non stop in 76 days, 23 hours. The record has since been eclipsed but with 8 crew on a ultra exotic Volvo 70 in 47 days 42 minutes--designed for record passages on the round the world race.
Prior to Georgs and Great American the record was held by the legendary full rigged ship "Flying Cloud" in 89 days, 21 hours.
On the other hand, today there are a lot of articles and re-sources on the various Tom Cats--about 13 + years ago--several of the C Brats took a chance on this new boat--with no reviews!
Enjoy the Tom Cat--a great boat (and Marie has not yet forgiven me for selling "Thataway"...
