C-Dory Sightings

Not that often is there a CD listed for sale in Northwest Yachting Magazine so we were surprised to see that a 2004 19CD in the November 2005 issue. It's $32,000 in the ad but when I checked it out online, it's $29,500. Has a 70 Suzuki with 40 hrs. I called Gig Harbor Yacht Sales and talked to Bob. He said that the correct price is $29,500. Joe came up with the idea that if we had two 19CDs, we could have "His and Hers". I don't think so......

Ruth (and Joe, too),
I saw that boat last summer on a drive through Gig Harbor. I even stopped and talked to the salesman and looked the boat over. I think that "his and hers" would be a good idea. :D Robbi

Joe and Ruth.....go ahead and purchase it, then lash the two together side by side and you'll have the 1st 19' CD Cat. :idea

Rev Dave - how about if they lash end to end, and have the only 38 foot C-Dory?

Iza motoring up the freeway to work this morning and passed a nice, newer 22' angler with a nice pot puller on it. I don't think those folks will be attending any gatherings though as the name on the side of the boat was " WSU RESEARCH" ... me thinks an excellent choice for small research vessel

Hi, All

Saw a CD 22' Cruiser, black trim, on the Gulf Intercoastal Waterway, between Rocport and Aransas Pass Texas. Sat. at about 10:30 AM. Waved and tried to get them to pull over and chat. No name on the boat, had Texas registration.

For you wintered in C-Brats it was 93 in Corpus Christi yesterday.

Hey just thought that I would let everyone know Bobcat is on its way home. I saw Bobcat headed south on I-5 around Exit 95 about 3:30pm.
Saluted him don't know if he recognized me... Anyway hope he has a safe trip.

Hey, Babaloui!

We saw you, too! It surprised the heck out of us, in the middle of nowhere! We had eaten lunch at Harris Ranch and on the final leg.

Bob Cat

I saw a brand new 22’ Cruiser towed by SportCraft Marina on I-5 at the Nisqually River today at 2:20 PM. Tried to get his attention, but too much traffic. Thought maybe I could get him to deliver it to my farm. I would have traded him a fully equipped 16’ Cruiser for his bare bones hull.

LETS NAME THAT C-DORY

Found this photo in this months issue of North West Dive News showcasing the 737 being sunk as an artificial reef...low and behold there is a c-dory...who is it??

A few months back someone on this site had a series of photos and story of the sinking of the 737. I believe it is in his photo album but do not remember who it was. I seem to remember that it was in Canada, but not entirely sure.

My Brother-in-Law who has a place in Key Largo, Fla. on the water (on the west side) just called to tell me that yesterday he saw a C-Dory cruise past his place. By the time he got out and on his bicycle and rode to the west end of the channel, all he saw was the stern of their vessel as they powered up into the bay. (He said that he thinks it was a 22' and that it had twin engines). Anyone know who that might have been? He's been asking his neighbors but no one seems to know who it was.

We saw that plane on the beach last year while up in canada. It was on the west side of thetis island near ladysmith. I know that searam lives up that way.

The 737 was near the beach on Thetis Island, we saw it last year.

My added album picture is a little indistinct due to the site resizing. My original shows it to be an unnamed C Dory with a green accent stripe and a grey inflatable on the cabin top.
SeaRam is grey accent and has a radar arch. It was not me, I was on shore taking the pictures.
I sighted a C Dory off Thetis a couple of years ago with green stripe and green canvas which may have been the same one - he either did not see or acknowledge my signal.

Cheers - Dave

Janet here...

We were at Skyline Marina Saturday and met a very nice man who stopped to ask how we like our boat. Of course, I had to tell him that we LOVE it, and guess what? He just bought a C-Dory! The name of the boat is Play Time and the skipper's name is John. He and his wife will be joining us at Lopez, so get ready for another new C-Brat!
Word on the sound is - Go C-Dory!!!!

We launched at Rooster Rock State Park on I-84 Oregon side of the Columbia river today (Sunday) and spotted what looked to be in the binocs a 22 Anlger out having fun fishing or cruising...waved and kept buzzing up the river to Beacon Rock on the Washington side where we enjoyed a nice picnic on the dock with friends.

Safe Boating to all.

Crazy Frazey :smilep
