C-Dory Sightings

Saw a nice green/white CD22 pulling out on to 101 by the Longhouse Chevron on Sequim Bay today, heading east.

I was the nut on a motorcycle, in the rain, waving wildly. I think I saw a wave back.
 
Saw the same C-Dory I saw a couple of weeks ago in the Indian River Lagoon while fishing out of my Gheenoe in Edgewater FL.
 
We saw a black(?) 19 or 22 angler with wood hand rails moored on the NW side of Eliza yesterday. Glad we went for our first Lummi Island launch yesterday afternoon instead of trying for today!
 
saw a very neat Dory, SCOUT today at Eagle Harbor. Anyone know if its a Brat? we moored up right next to them but they were gone when we came back.

Have seen a red stripped 16, "Little Tot or Tut or Maybe Toot" It was going the other way on the highway so it was a quick look. East bound between Sequim and the Casino.

Saw a new Sequim resident, Phil, on his "new to him" gray stripped 16 about a mile off the west end of Protection Island. Passed, by, took a closer look, then got a "come on over" wave so rafted up for a few minutes. Time to have a nice greeting, and find out he has been a lurker here for a while, and picked his boat up on the way to a new duty station here with the Coast Guard.

Nice to meet you Phil, and nice boat. Hope the shrimping was productive. Come on out and say Howdy.

Time caught up with me. On 25 May I had the port LENCO trim tab motor stuck in the up position. These are the original set from 2005, so off to have both motors replaced.

Looks like I will miss going by the tall ships and seeing the NORFOLK HARBORFEST activities from the water this year from 6 June to 9 June.

While getting ready to launch Lizzie at Lake Washington today, I saw a 16 footer being pulled out. I said hello to the owner and asked about the boat, a 2007 well equipped, cabernet striped cruiser with California registration. . He said he had been using it as a dingy for his "larger vessel" but was getting an inflatable and just sold this boat to "that lady over there". Apparently they had just completed a survey and a sea trial and were finalizing the transaction in the parking lot. I talked briefly to the new owner who is from Idaho and she said she is planning to use the boat on Lake Pend Oreille. I make a point to tell her about the C-Brats, wished her well, and she was on her way.

A few hours later, while enjoying fish and chip at Ivars Salmon House dock, we were passed by a nice Ranger tug named "Y-Knot".

I saw this picture on Dock Street Marina's facebook page. from the 2009 freeze.
 
No C-Dorys, but I did spot a red hulled Rangwer Tug up on blocks in a marina in Kent Island, Maryland. A guy on a ladder was applying new numbers, I think.
 
Today, while driving my car over the Great Bridge Bridge (yes this bridge is named this way), I spotted a 22' Cruiser heading northbound waiting for the bridge and locks. The cruiser had grey trim and a Yamaha on the back with no rear canvas / camper-back.
 
The cdory in the picture of the lings is at friday harbor. its always there and I have never meet the owners. You walk by it on the way to the top of the ramp.

The boat's name is Sweet Dreams. It is slipped across from our stern. We met the owners last year, but they did not come to the boat very often. I mentioned the C-Brats to them; they said they had looked at it, but didn't participate. They were on the boat when we came back in from Victoria last week.

Around noon yesterday while enjoying Fathers Day brunch at the Hearthfire Restaurant in Bellingham I observed "Reef Madness" returning to port and saw another Tomcat departing port....unfortunately since the name of that vessel appeared to be in cursive writing, I was unable to discern what the name was. Both vessels looked great!
