C-Dory Sightings

Over the weekend of 6/l9-20, I saw a most awesome group of C-Dory's working together off Port Townsend area, providing communication, and cover, for a total of over l00 paddle craft over the 2 days. Plan C, Otter, SeaShift, C-Cakes, Susan E-II, R-Matey, Dreamer, SleepyC.

Last week I spotted the Kim Christine Northbound as I was heading south in my Kenworth around the Fort lewis area in the evening.
Then this weekend of the, 26th, We met the Aurelia in Rich Passage on our way to Brownsville Marina. got a message from Aurelia that they got a pic of us as we went by. we were too slow to get our camera out ..good job Aurelia!!

More from our Brownsville visit ! Met Ken & Jane launching their 2008 Blue 25' . So needless to say , I introduced myself and we chatted about C-Brats. Jane has been on the site here but not sure if she signed up. I welcomed them to the family and to come to any or all the gatherings . They got their 25' in February in McMinnville Oregon, and are interested in doing the Inside Passage.

I saw a blue 22' (no name that I could see) being trailered N on I 205 then east on 14 to the 192nd exit. That was Tuesday 6/29 after work. Followed them into Camas over Prune Hill until I had to turn into my development. Was wondering where they were headed- Lacamas Lake is the only water in that direction that I know of. Cute little lake. We like to go out there ourselves, both in the Cdory and in canoe/kayak. Hope the water was nice!

Jim, I was returning from salmon fishing at Westport on June 23. Fishing with Dad and Father in Law, got some nice hatchery kings!

Was crabbing alongside Jim and his bride to be, Nancy, on Work Release on July 3 east side of Whidbey Island.

In the July 20l0 issue of "Northwest Yachting" on page 26 is an article about cruising Puget Sound, specifically Tacoma and Gig Harbor. In the lead photo, just right of center is a tan or grey C-Dory. Anyone want to fess up? Photo is of Jerisich Harbor in Gig Harbor.

We took R-MATEY over to the fuel dock (Squalicum Harbor) this morning and here comes a 25 CDory. The CD doesn't have a name but I'm thinking that I've seen this guy somewhere....turns out it's Jeff and Donna Pugh from California. We originally met Jeff when he was picking up his 25CD from the Kincaid's a year or so ago (can't recall exactly, time flies when you're having fun!).

Anyway, Jeff and Donna got fueled up and sped off to Friday Harbor and maybe from there to Victoria. Be sure to say hello if you happen to see them out there in the San Juans.

Spotted Miss Mirth in the Safeway parking lot in Port Angeles on Saturday, and just had to go say "Hi". They were heading out to Neah Bay to fish. Hope they had good luck.

CD25 with blue trim seen anchored in a cove on the Saginaw River last night while we were going to cruise past the tall ships... I called them on channel 16 with no response... My son was unable to see a name before we went around a point and due to gunnel to gunnel boats sorrounding us I opted not to turn back...

Saw at least eight C-Dorys while driving from Anchorage to Ninilchik yesterday. Most were 25's.
One was the 27' long cabin (Misty Lady) that was for sale on Craigslist last month.
My son was behind me with his 22' (my old boat High Tide) going to Whittier for some solitary salmon fishing and an overnighter.

CD's just keep on popping up and continue to be a popular boat.

Forgot to post until now, and can't remember which day it was exactly, but in the past couple of days saw Bambina on its trailer on Commercial in Anacortes.
