C-Dory Sightings

I saw a 25ft cdory in Ft myers at a RV, boat , home show It was being marketed by Bulldog boatwerks Brand new boat 09 with your choice of motor 150hp for $81k I don't know if trailer came with that ? The number is 239-267-8736
ask for Vivian She said they still could sell C-dory's I though they got out of selling them?

I have nothing to do with this sale just passing info on

Heading North on I-5 yesterday, heading for Oldgrowth Dave's shop, I spotted a 22 C-Dory Center Console being towed South just South of Kent. It looked new or close to it. The Marinaut 215 is coming along nicely. What a lot of work Dave and Ben have done and have yet to do!

I saw what appeared to be a CD 22' in the ICW near Rockport, Texas, Sat afternoon. I was out in the flats fishing, and about a half mile away. I called on channel 16 and talked with the captain for a few seconds. I didn't catch the boat name, but I think the owner was named Rudy. The boat was out of Rockport, but he lived in another Texas town. Only the second C-Dory I have seen here on the ICW in the last 6 years. I will get by the harbor tomorrow and see if I can find out where she is kept.

Two sightings today near Anacortes, Washington. A tomcat with a yellow dinghy on the cabin roof heading in to Twin bridges, couldn't see the name. A 22 cruiser with tan trim, "Sea Critter" in Guemes Channel and again entering Burrows Bay.

I saw a commercial today about i don't know what, was not paying attention really, and in the last scene are a sail boat and a c-dory. has anyone else seen this?

Didn't see a boat, but driving through Duncan BC (on Vancouver Island's eastern side, pretty near the water) a while back, I saw a big pickup with the BC vanity plate "C-Dory". Couldn't manage to come alongside to give him the secret C-Brat hand signal. But who knows, he might have been just some teeny-bopper tryin' to look cool? 8) :thup

This weekend Rosemary and I took off for Goose Creek State Park in Washington, NC but stopped in Belhaven to top off the gas tanks. While there we strolled about the town and spied "Walkabout" on its trailer in a storage yard.

Looked real good with the hatchback cover that wasn't on it when I saw it at Mobile East Marine a couple months ago.

Yeah, I saw that Anthony's commercial too. I think it was a Claret Red 22' Cruiser with a hi-top and I believe twin engines.

On another note, did anyone see the opening sequence of the Olympics last night at 7:00pm? While Bob Costas was talking in the foreground, in the background I swear I saw a C-Dory on the water, in total view of the camera over Bob's left shoulder. It looked like a 22' Cruiser as well. I recorded the show last night so I'll take a look at it again.

Pretty cool, huh? :thup

thanks for the commercial info. first time i saw it but I never watch commercials at all. Did not see the Olympic footage. could you down load to utube? I did watch the Americans kick the poo out of the Canadians hockey team.

Now, there's something you don't see everyday: the phrase "kick the poo out of" and "hockey" in the same sentence.

Now, give me some milk and put it in a dirty glass!

Tom, The commercial was for Anthony's Restaurant, I believe, and is about a year old. Someone last year identified the C-Dory

Not sure if this is what Tom saw, but the Anthony's restaurant commercial had a fishing trawler in it. We have seen it twice, and it is a C-Dory in the background, but I missed the sailboat.

Yes we did see the one behind Bob Costas, and I was not sure it was a C-Dory, thought maybe a Sea Sport brother possibly.

Hello C-Cakes, The 22 Cruiser with tan (actually light grey) trim "Sea Critter" was me. I thought I was in big trouble at first when you came up beside us looking so official with your coast guard signage. Was good to find out was just a nice greeting from another C-Brat. We (wife, son and me) keep her at Skyline, Condo 18. Sea Critter is a 2004 purchased last fall from a nice gentleman in La Conner (I don't think was active C-Brat). Still learning (most of my boat time is sailing) and was lucky to get an afternoon with David "Anna Leigh" to get some docking lessons and other great tips. This is my first post but I hope not the last. I have really enjoyed this site and all the great info, tips and humor.

P.S. I noticed maybe someone on C-CAKES taking pictures, would be interested if you caught a good one of Sea Critter. Thanks!

Dennis
