C-Dory Sightings

SusanS, I think I saw that same green 22, UW Hunter, Sept. 5th on the west side of San Juan Island. I pulled close to the Kennewick C-Dory and told him about this site. He knows about us but is mostly interested in fishing.

On Saturday Patty saw a gray 22' cruiser named C-Geezer going north on I-5 in Everett (I was at the Fremont Oktoberfest pouring beer the colorful denizens of the Republic of Fremont...)

i saw 2 cdorys at the dock in evveret for the coho derby and two more in the parking lot. its killing me to wait to buy mine. if you all get sick of my winning let me know.

Saw Flat Iron in heavy rush hour traffic east of Sacramento :amgry on Friday 9/17. Where did they go and did they have a good weekend? :?: :rainbow

We counted 6 C-Dorys out fishing off of Edmonds this AM. Haileigh called to any C-Brat but no one answered. We caught 4 nice silvers though!

pugetsounder,

Are you fishing in the Humpy hollow area. I have seen a lot of boats down there fishing and if you are how incondsiderate that you didn't ask me to go along :D . (Just Kidding) Make me sit in my house and watch all of you down there fishing is just to cruel. My house is right above this area and I can look down and see everybody fishing there. It has been pretty active down there for the last week.

When I moved here from Colorado (talk about a real land lubber) I thought the Spanish Armada was in town that first year. It was in August and there were so many boats it looked like I could just jump from one to another. I know I couldn't but it appeared that way.

Hey Pugetsounder,
I was one of those C-Dorys at Edmonds Sunday, sorry I didn't hear you on the radio, I was on channel 68. The fishing was good that day, our two biggest were 10.5 and 10.6. We were in the Everett Coho Derby but didn't even get close to the money. The top fish was 18.2 and I heard it came out of the Snohomish River. From what I hear there is still a lot more fish between Edmonds and Mukilteo. To bad a guy has to work for a living, but Saturday is a coming.
Jim, Work Release

We have been fishing between the Edmonds ferry and the oil tanks. We saw Work Release. In fact you were right behind us when we pulled one in last Sunday. We were not in the derby and I don't know how big our fish were because we did not have a scale but they were nice fish. Don went out and bought a scale this week. Don will be out early Saturday morning again. It's Haileigh's birthday so she is having friends over but if Don does well in the morning Haileigh and I will go out in the evening and stay on the boat and go out first thing Sunday. Haileigh knows how to fish. She stays in her sleeping bag on her bunk until she has a fish on the line, then goes out and reels it in, in her pajamas. What a life.

Ran down to the local market here in out of the way Encinitas, CA, and what should drive in to the parking lot? A nice 2003 Burgundy C-22 towed by a (ptui) Dodge Ram. Owner's name is Tom, he bought about 3 months ago, but still working on a name. NICE fish box on the stern. I'd love to get some photos/dimensions if he shows up here again. Definitely a fisherman

He knows the Brats site and is probably a member.

While looking thru a few old Fishing Holes magazines from 1989 I found some C-Dory advertisements showing 20' Offshore C-Dory and 16'-21'- 22' Models of the C-Dorys. With all of us C-Brats looking at any and all C-Dorys all across the USA, why havn't any of us seen any of these differant models??? :? To see which ones I mean look in Scorpoi photo album where I posted two of the advertisements. We see 14'- 16'- 19'- 22'- 25'- and a few 27 footers but none of the others. Later Lyle

I saw one of those Offshore, cabinless, rascals in Longview once. I though it was an Arima untill I saw the C-Dory sticker.

Well I'll be.... Here I'd been driving past the place for years. We have family friends that lived in the 24200 block of 16th av south, just a short hop from 25028 on old 99!!! (Pacific Hiway South) I'd probably seen many C-Dorys at the Des Moines Marina and never paid them any attention. Now that I am 200 plus miles and 15 years away... Oh well.

Saw a like new Black trim 16' C-dory yesterday on Lake Winnipesaukee, NH yesterday. Met the owner, Bill. Boat is 3 yrs old and glistens. They call it Toot, but haven't put the name on it.

The boat is at the "Y" Landing Marina, which is the new C-Dory dealer in the area. Also met the Marina owner and his crew. Looks like a great Marina with a friendly and energetic staff. The Marina seems to have any thing a C-Brat could want, including a store that sells Beer & wine.

Leaves weren't ripe yet. I guess I'll have to keep going back til the foliage is ripe. Darn, more days cruising the Lake!

Saw the C-Dory "Jammin" coming down Highway 299 from Eureka into Redding yesterday about 3:30 in the afternoon. This, to the best of my memory is Dennis Cheery and his wife, probably on their annual trip to the Sea of Cortez in Mexico for the winter. They spend the summer in the Pacific Northwest. He's a retired Probation Officer, which I didn't know until I checked the profile. I seem to remember they owned a boat named
"Cheery", which was traded in at E.Q. Marine on the new "Jammin", which I believe is a CD-25. Dusty* acquired the boat and kept it for awhile, but traded it away for Mike"s Tyboo CD-22 when it came up to E.Q. after the Tyboo (II) CD-25 was acquired right after the Sequim Get-together in 2003. This is probably not all 100% correct, but without researching it to death, will have to do until you guys and gals correct me, which I'm sure you'll do!!!

*If you ever are in doubt about the ownership history of a C-Dory, name Dusty as one of the chain of owners and you'll have at least a 20% chance of being correct!

Have a great winter in Mexico, Jammin!!! Joe.

Somebody with a 25ft C-Dory "Viking Lady" has a very impressive two page photo in the December issue of Trailer Boats. Very very nice!!!

See pages 56-57. :D

Saw a TOMCAT headed north out of Anchorage the other day... Wednesday, I think. Musta been about 11:30 or so. Anyways, I didn't get the name... I was late for class and headed the opposite direction- fast. Sure made me wish for summer so I can get back in the water...

Saturday we saw Bambina on Lake Washington near Bill's house. We stopped to say hello and watch security watching us. :photo Then continued leisuerly up to Kirkland. Also spotted the little red "Cherry" on a trailer at Mercer Marine in Newport Basin.
