C-Dory Sightings

Spotted this cute li'l orange 16 on the Keystone ferry. Nice pair of late-model Yamahas on the back.

I like the "fun" colors that you only see every so often -- such as the orange or yellow :thup

Had a chance to see Isola Bella at Alderbrook Lodge in Union during the week. It's a great looking 25.

We were at the dock that same weekend (Thursday - Sunday) with 2 Tomcats, but did not manage to see the owner at Isola Bella. My brother in law wanted to see the inside of the boat, but the owner never showed up to their boat during our stay.

I have an "orange" angler 16 as well. I was told the brochure color was called"cabernet" and was more red but UV has faded it to more of an orange. Still gets comments though.
Cheers
Chris

Crossing the Hood Canal bridge Friday about 0700 I saw a C-Dory on the north side, close to the launch there. Red and either a 19 or a 22 angler. Didn't have time to differentiate. Didn't appear to have a name, but looked like involved in fishing or grabbing.

I thought "cabernet" was what they call the maroon color (at least that's what it seemed like when I was boat shopping). This orange 16 was really orange (not faded). I have seen one other orange one, which was a 1986 22 Classic, shown below.

From the same era I have seen bright yellow and also light blue. Go '80's

Yes locale boy, Patriot spent the night at Tulalip Casino after 1 month in the Gulf & San Juan Islands. We were heading south to return to So. Cal. We really enjoyed our trip and the Tomcat is a great platform to explore the PNW. 2 years ago we took her to Desolation Sound for 6 weeks.

You were smart to get an early start. Traffic thru Seattle..on a long summer weekend.... :x :amgry

We took 405 around Seattle and I believe 205 around Portland. Both worked out great, highly recommend. Two nights later we were home. The 5 is a very rough ride south of Stockton.

We drove out to Neah Bay on the 28th. Saw Roger on His Tom Cat "Meant To Be" pulling out for the road trip to Westport. Not much growth for about 5 months in the water! (Thanks to Roger and crew for several meals of salmon--superb!

At lunch in Sekiu, we saw grey accented 22 cruiser come in, and talked briefly to the owner of a red trim angler 22 who had caught 2 silvers that day.

A great road trip--and one highlight was the museum at Neah Bay. We had been to Neah bay several times in the boat, but never stopped to see the museum!

We fished the Salmon for soldiers event yesterday and was glad to see at least 4 cbrats out their. Don and I in the Susan E. with large U.S. and Marine flags flying. Check point two with Peter and Dwight, Reel something, sorry I forgot they name, was out as was the new Kim Christina 25. I also saw two more Cdorys that i did not know. Great day and fair fishing , We managed 3 in the box and lost 4 to the boat.

Saw a unnamed 22 salmon fishing at Ringold Springs Was impressed with their retrieval on a trailer with fast current and no launch ramp, just rocky bank. Good job! Hope you had good luck

Saw Fan-C-Dory trailering on I 295 today headed south just below Hopewell, VA. Who dat? Where to? Don't see anything from/about this boat on C-Brats for years.

Saturday, 11/8. Saw what looked like a classic heading north out of Garibaldi. The boat name was Dano, and it appeared (?) it still had the original two strokes. I think I've seen this boat a couple of times in that area.
