C-Dory on the Ocklawaha river today....Dec. 3

I was flying my sea plane over the Ocklawaha river this afternoon and saw a C-Dory. Just wondering if the owner is a C-Brat? I was going to land on the river and say Hi but the trailer was going in the water when I flew over the Moss Bluff landing. The C-dory has twin power and I could not see a name. Great day to fly or boat here in Florida......the plane won today!

Sounds like a lot of fun. What type of seaplane do you have? Description--so we all know that it is not the feds if you buzz the C Dory fleet!

I have a Rans model S7. It's an experimental aircraft on Amphibious floats. Does about 100mph with a 100hp Rotax engine. 20MPG ...,,lots better than I get with my CD 22 and Honda 90. It's white with red trim so wave when I check your C-dory out. I plan on flying to Cedar Key on Thursday so I'll be watching for C-Brats on the gulf. I've spotted about a half dozen in the last few years. I do tend to spend about the same number of hours boating and flying.
All the best...Tom

Tom, I built a rans!) years ago, sold now, actually out of airplanes. Do tho, have a 20ft C Dory. I live on Stone Island (Lake Monroe) possible we could meet , have lunch, Swamp grill??? cruise together, or? Don

Hi Don
Sounds like fun. I'll be heading down to the Keys with my C-Dory for a week or so around Christmas with some other C-Brats. When I get back I plan to do some trips on the St. John's south of 44 later in January. I am thinking of picking a weekend to get together with other C-brats at Hontoon Island again. Last fall when we did it we had 4 C-dorys......would be nice to have more next time. Two of the other skippers are also pilots. I'll post a new thread when I get a date figured out.
Meanwhile have a Merry Christmas.
