The 25 and 26 has a compartment on the starboard side, aft of the galley. This compartment had a toilet and doubles as a shower. You sit on the toilet, lid down of course, and take a shower with a hose and nozzle that comes out of the wall.

Both boats have drains in the deck, with a pump, that pumps the shower water overboard.

The water heater is on the opposite side of the boat, standard. Several of us have gotten rid of the 6 gallon water heater and put in a 2 to 3 gallon rapid water heater under the sink--which gets rid of the long run from the heater to the sink and shower. We heat our water up to about 140* and use a mixing valve.
We will put hot water in a basin and soap up then a quick rinse with the hand held shower. I have never sat on the commode to do the shower in any of our C Dorys. Even at 6'2" and 180# there is enough room in the shower to stand up.
Some use solar heated water--some shower in the cockpit. We had a shower on the transom when we had the Tom Cat 255.

At times, when conserving water, we put a solar shower on the cabin top and ran the hose from that into the head compartment. Again, the water goes into the drain, to the shower box, and gets pumped overboard.
We put a shower curtain in that would cover the head door and leave that door open to give a bit more "elbow room" in the head compartment. To keep down the humidity in the boat, we'd wipe down that compartment after each shower. My wife made a waterproof cover to go over the toilet when using the shower to keep water out of the toilet (relatively small holding tank for the toilet).
It is compact, but it works well.

We have a 25 and you are welcome to take a tour. If your location, PKS, is Pine Knoll Shores we are on the ICW across from you.
