C Dory 22 or Cape dory 28?

C Dory 22 or Cape Dory 28 trawler.

I like both boats for my reasons, but I'd like to here yours.

Which one would you chose?

I know there completely different boats.

Gas or diesel, bigger or smaller, let me know your opinions

Most members on this forum are familiar with the 22 but not the 28 trawler, hence no replies. Maybe let the forum know your thoughts on the two boats and the reason for asking the question and generate some discussion.

There are worlds of difference between the Cape Dory Cruiser and the C Dory.

The C Dory is a semi dory--sort of corrupted by the change in 1987. The Cape Dory is a semi displacement motor boat. Not a thing "dory" about it. Wider beam. Inboard engine, slower speed, not a trailerable boat, although it can be trailered...

Decide what you want, and go from there. Do you want to trailer, or leave the boat in the water pretty much in the same place. (I have seen Cape Dory trailered, but require a permit.
