Needless to say, Mike and I are pretty amazed and thankful for the generous contributions made by so many people to date. The response to the tip jar has far exceeded anything either of us expected. At this point, our expenses are covered far off into the future...so please don't contribute under the impression any future funds will be used for anything other than beer, bait and boating.

Speaking only for myself, now...I've hesitated responding in this thread, as I don't want to draw undue attention to the new option we added. If folks see it, and are so inclined, we're most appreciative - but it's certainly not expected on our part. Last thing we would ever want, is for somebody to feel obligated - after all, the content that has made this place so special was provided by all of you.

However, I also don't want to remain silent here, lest doing so be interpreted as a sign I'm not incredibly grateful. We're making private contacts to those who have contributed, expressing our gratitude...but with so many of them, there's certainly a chance we'll miss somebody, or that something will "get lost in the mail."

So...if you've contributed, and a personal acknowledgment doesn't arrive in the very near future, please know we are most thankful.

And if not...consider this. I've benefited greatly over the years from free information myself, and I have zero guilt having taken and never given back directly to most of these sources. Without getting too deep on y'all...it's the karma thing. What goes around, comes around. Take from here freely with no regrets or remorse, just give back somewhere at the time, place and manner of your choosing. Doing so, makes this little blue ball we all share a finer place.

Wow, the C-Brats site has given me many, many hours of enjoyment.
Glad to give back a little.
Sorry to have sold our little CD16 Angler to CaptMac, but am still yearning for the CD22 Cruiser. One of these days.
Again, thanks to Mike, Bill, and all the Brats (esp, Oldgrowth for helping me post photos!) - love to read about all the advice, about your adventures, and your great photos!

Hi folks. This weekend's temporary "out of order" for the C-Brat site got me thinking how much I've enjoyed it and how much I missed it while it was down. So, thought I would resurrect this topic for other newbies like me who have been lurking around the site for months (years?), learning so much from all of you. And, when we finally get our C-Dory's, we feel more comfortable knowing you're all there to help. :hug

So here's my little contribution in case it will help this wonderful site stay around for a long, long time. I hope you guys will let us know if there's ever anything else we can do to help out.
