What i ordered is :Brownell MB-4 18' to 25' high......my hull sits on average 19" to 20" off the ground.........question is if i raise the boat 25" inches off the ground , is that high enough to paint the bottom......Tug

With boat stands 18-25 feet high, you're gonna need scaffolding!

Perhaps you meant " instead of ' :?:

I see the " now in the last part of your post. Depends on how much clearance your person needs...

Yes, but--how much will the trailer come up on its springs as you unload the boat weight? You can easily put 2" X 8" pieces of wood under the jack stands--and should to spread the load on the ground--if on concrete, not an issue--tarmac--can be an issue. You can also bring the bow up a bit higher You want to be able to get the jack stands under the boat as you lift it. I have occasionally used auto stands as a safety precaution--but use 4 x 4 and 6 x 6 cribbing (even have a few of pieces of 12 x 12) (if Marie hasn't checked them in the fireplace.)

A crane even, this person really doesn't need much clearance if your meaning like a beer belly, i don"t have one.I would like to get the MB-3 25 inches to 38 inches but i would have to dig down 5 inches in my gravel driveway ( not a problem ) this would give me some extra height.I am not sure if it's worth it though! Bob...good idea...i can level the gravel and place a pad under the boat stands and with the trailer jack lowered that should give me some extra height .I had also planed on building a crib for the bow from 2x4's and screwing the pieces together. I do not think the trailer springs will have much of as impact in my case. I do have two steel saw horses made of welded tubular steel with foot pads that i used to sit my truck camper on,i can use those for lateral stability.I probably will have to build/construct a plastic shelter around my boat to let the sunlight in to raise the temperature for painting, environment Canada is calling for a late summer with a long cool Spring.Don"t you just love the North.
