I got a "custom" winter cover for th Lizzie from Angola Canvas located in Indiana. It fits well and was comparatively inexpensive. I found them on the net and called them. They were suprizingly knowlegeable about C-Dory (asked if I had bow rails and anchor drop, etc). Lots of different materials and colors. I'm a satisfied customer.

Angola Canvas makes covers for the C-Dory dealer in Michigan, that's why they're so knowledgeable on them. The dealer had given me their contact info when I bought my boat and told me that's who they get their covers from.

That under $400. price sounds too good to be true. I had my full mooring cover custom made here in Pa. It covers everything including the powerhead and just about covers the blue on the topsides. It is made of Sunbrella we use two support poles to hold it up. It handles snow very well. We paid slightly over $1000.

Dotnmarty,
Sounds like a good plan to have a cover made for your boat. My boat is stored outside under a King Canvas full cover. The King cover is open over the transom well to allow rain to drain into the transom well and out the well scupper. In practice this allows for dirt (leaves, droppings, muck and crud) from the cover to be washed into the well where it stains the gelcoat. I shaped a piece of vinyl to cover the transom well. The full top now drains onto the vinyl and the vinyl drains overboard. This solution has worked well. The full cover is Sunbrella and has kept the gelcoat clean and dry. The Sunbrella itself is difficult to keep clean. It requires annual powerwashing and retreatment with an expensive water repellent. I am beginning to consider a full cover made from vinyl with a soft backing. This would allow for a smooth and impervious surface that would drain and clean well. It could be made with vents to allow for vapor exchange. Anyone have such a cover or know where one could be made?

Well, my cover does not have a lining, nor does it cover the transom. It does go down just below the blue and has a pull tie bottom and grommets for bungies. I got the impression on the phone that Angola will adjust it any way you wish, over the transom or even over the motors.Since none of this interested me I didn't go into it with them. I don't have a picture but hopefully, if Santa comes through, Ill post one as soon as somebody reads me the directions.

I ordered a canvas cover for my 16 Angler - what a great cover - Angola sure does a professional job. Its very well made - fits the boat nice - even has extra stitched patches over the transom cleats.

If you could get a number of owners who wanted covers there is a good chance that you could get the job done much less expensively. About 6 months ago I had a Sunbrella Cover made for a 22 foot RV--which is actually larger than a CD 22 as far as surface area. This was a very well made cover with good chafe protection, tie down belts etc. The cost was $500. The reason that it was so "cheap" is that the company sells many of these from a pattern, and there is no "developement" costs, which mean both trial and error and many extra measurements = lots of extra time and $$$$.

I have just received the cover for my new C-Dory 25 "C-Song," which I purchased from Angola Canvas. (I bought the cover not the boat, from Angola.)
Could not be more pleased with price, looks, fit etc. Very professional order taking, quick delivery and looks great. Would not hesitate to recomend them.
