BF90D prop size

My '08 CD22 with a '08 BF90D had a 13.5x15 prop on it when I bought it. When needed I have just replaced it with the same size prop. This size seems to work ok, but the WOT RPM is about 5600.

I was wondering what size prop other owners of this model and vintage of motor were running when the motor is used on a CD22.

I run my boat at sea level most of the time.

Thanks.

The 13.5 x 15 is the standard sea level prop. With a heavy load maybe 13" pitch. (Or at Lake Powell (3700 feet).

Did you trim for max RPM--often by bringing the bow up, you can get up to 6000 and a little higher speed. Light boat should get close to 30 mph.

Yesterday, I was at 5500 rpm and 32 mph with a light boat. Seemed about as fast as was wise at the time.

I use the same prop at sea level and my boat is usually fairly heavy. I am never in such a hurry that I need to go that fast. I usually top out at about 4400 RPM and 14-15 MPH. I can't enjoy the view with a WOT.

Prior to 2007 Honda 90 WOT 5000 to 6000. 2007 on 5300 to 6300 WOT is spec.

If you are under the minim RPM at WOT, it tends to lug the engine.
